The Chilcotin Coast Experience

Bella Coola Grizzly Tours

Entrance to the Great Bear Rainforest

Your host at Grizzly Tours is Leonard Ellis who has more than 30 years experience as a licensed guide along BC's Central Coast, in what is now known as the Great Bear Rainforest.  At its centre is the town of Bella Coola, a seaport that is actually 100 km inland at the tip of a long coastal fjord, and surrounded by spectacular 8,000 foot mountain peaks.  Stay in one of Leonard's comfortable cabins and enjoy one of the Grizzly Tours land or marine tours, where Leonard will share some of his extensive knowledge and show you the beauty of the area.

The attractive Grizzly Tours post & beam log cabins are beautifully finished with Aspen wood.  Each cabin has a queen bed and two double beds, full bathroom facilities, a kitchenette, and great views of the mountain peaks (or any passing wildlife).

There are several restaurants to choose from in the Bella Coola Valley, either casual or fine dining, or you can prepare your own meals using the kitchenette cooking facilities in your cabin.

Marine Tours

Welcome Aboard the 42 ft. MV Nekhani, cruising the spectacular glacial fjords of the Central Coast.  You will pass by Hanging Glaciers, search for grizzly, black bear, and wolves, visit the natural rock hot springs, see a giant 1,000 year old cedar tree, and enjoy an onboard BBQ lunch.  There may be whales or dolphins in the area too!
